ANA Auction Highlights: Stack's Bowers Galleries

Great Collections served as the official auctioneer of the ANA in Pittsburgh, while Stack's Bowers Galleries and Heritage Auctions were the ANA event partners, providing dealers and collectors with an almost endless amount of rarities to peruse throughout the show. As has been the case for several years now, the actual auctions for Stack's Bowers and Heritage took place a week after the show at their respective auction house locations, while Great Collections concluded their sale with the customary Sunday evening auction.
Highlights for the Stack's Bowers Galleries and Heritage Auctions ANA sales will be provided over a two-week period. This week we will cover the Stack's Bowers sale followed by the Heritage portion next week. Make sure to check the Stack's Bowers Galleries website for a complete listing of auction prices realized. Some of the many high-end rarities from the Stack's Bowers Summer 2026 Showcase are listed below.
1894 S Barber Dime certified by PCGS PR63 with CAC & CMQ
The 1894 S Barber Dime is one of the top renowned rarities in numismatics. When it comes to auction, which is rare, it makes national headlines giving our industry some well needed attention. Last week the 1894 S in PR63 with both the CAC and CMQ labels brought $1,250,500 in the Stack's Bowers Summer 2026 Showcase. The last time a PCGS PR63 was sold at auction was in a 2019 Stack's Bowers Sale realizing $1,320,000, which was in a much stronger market. Our current CAC value is listed at $1,375,000. There are as many as three coins certified in PR66 by two of the grading services with the highest auction price noted at $2,160,000 from the 2025 FUN Show.
