Stable Market Building Momentum
Proof Silver Eagles, Proof Gold Eagles and much of the other modern bullion coins are leading the way in today's market. Circulated Silver Dollars are also trading at a breakneck pace with VG's now at $32,625 per bag of one thousand. Proof Silver Eagles are up to $75 wholesale, while the Proof Gold Eagles are trading at $1,885 minimum per ounce. They must be in the original government package for these prices. In this week's Moderns Wholesale Market Dealer Price Guide most of the advances are in the modern bullion series. A few examples of Market increases this week are listed below.

This is the time of the year when the show circuit slows down, but there are still a few events of importance, one being the Money Show in Houston this week. This typically eventful show includes a major sale hosted by Heritage which features many exciting rarities.
The teletypes are extremely hectic of late with a majority of the dealing in bullion related items. However, many dealers are also trading in collector coins and there has been an increase in activity over the last few weeks. Those dealers with the clientele who are ready buyers have been buying lots of coins from the dealers who may not have current customers for their better coins. This upswing in wholesale activity is a sure sign that the coin market is ending the year on a strong note and dealers will be preparing for a dynamic FUN Show in early January.
