Dollars are Hot as Long Beach Begins
January 27, 2014
The 50th Anniversary of the Long Beach Expo January 30 - February 1, 2014
|
The year began with a profitable FUN Show for most dealers and the anticipation of a continued strong coin market should help this week's Long Beach Expo. Even though some expensive coins sold below previous levels, it is obvious that advanced collectors and investors are pursuing high value rarities. Just the fact that these coins are in demand is a major development compared to the market 30 years ago. The number of buyers who can afford these rarities has increased tremendously over the years and at any major show you are likely to see many coins sell in the $50,000+ range.
Morgan and Peace Dollars are very strong with buyers in all grades. The current price charts show numerous increases especially for MS63 and higher grades. The following list contains dates and grades with the new higher Market price.
