Legend Reports Active Regency 37 Sale

April 6, 2020

The most recent Legend Rare Coin Auctions Regency 37 was held in the company's New Jersey offices because of the coronavirus and the stay at home orders. The auction was handled as a live webcast only, with no floor bidders as all bids were either placed by email or telephone, and Legend was happy to report that the sale was very successful. According to Greg Cohen, Senior Numismatist at Legend Rare Coin Auctions, "This proved, yet again, that the demand for rare coins from collectors is deep, and despite the uncertain times, this demand can be insatiable when the coins are fresh and high quality."
The top two sellers in this sale were the $50 Gold Pan-Pac Round and Octagonal, both certified by PCGS as MS64 and also have the CAC approval. The Round realized $114,563 and the Octagonal $99,875. The original mintage of the Round was 483 with 39 coin certified in MS64 CAC. The Octagonal had a mintage of 645 with 49 certified in MS64 CAC. Both of these coins were better than average for the grade according to several active bidders. Below are some of the other highlights from the Legend Rare Coin Auction Regency 37 Sale.

The metals are rising and so are the premiums. Over the last couple of weeks physical inventories are somewhat limited as demand for actual Gold and Silver delivery is extremely strong. Buyers want the product in hand not a piece of paper with an IOU. Make sure you check current prices for any future deals; Gold is currently $1,660 and Silver is $15.00.
