Heritage FUN Sale Hauls In Over $8 Million
July 13, 2015
Heritage Auctions held the official FUN Sale and the results were just over $8 million. Last week we highlighted the 1893 S Morgan Dollar in PCGS MS63, and it certainly lived up to its reputation as the most expensive Morgan Dollar. It brought $282,000, which is almost $100,000 over the current FMV. With only 13 coins certified in this grade, along with the extra eye appeal, this was an obvious target of several buyers. Listed below are some of the many other highlights from this sale. Please contact Heritage Auctions for a complete list of prices realized.

As long as Gold continues to drift lower, confidence in the metals market will remain soft. Even though it might seem like buyers would want to take advantage of lower prices, they tend to wait until the market shows some positive momentum. The majority of this week's charts in the HD Wholesale Market Dealer Price Guide are status quo as the summer months typically dictate. However, there are numerous adjustments in the Gold charts. Many of the common dates coins are down in grades MS62 and lower, especially for the $5, $10, and $20 denominations. The $20 Liberty is currently at $1,300 Market and the Saint is $1,305.
